Former Linfield football player Tim Smith earned a bachelor of arts degree from Linfield in 1970.
He attended Linfield after graduating from Serra Catholic High School in Salem, Ore.
He lettered playing Linfield Wildcat football in the 1967 (Paul Durham, coach), 1968 and 1969 (Ad Rutschman, coach) seasons.
The 1978 Linfield Alumni Directory showed him living in Las Vegas, Nev., and working for the State of Nevada Adult Parole and Probation. A newspaper story in 1981 shows him living in Carson City, Nev.
Born Sept. 26, 1946, he died at age 34 on February 7, 1981.
