  • The September 1972 issue of the Linfield College Alumni Bulletin was published. It was ready to be mailed. But, Linfield President Gordon Bjork read the cover story about 'Linfield Mythology.' He didn't like it. He prohibited the bulletin editor from mailing the entire magazine (which included regular magazine fare not related to Linfield mythology) to alumni and friends. The issue was never mailed.
