LINFIELD SWIM COACH KEN HOLMES (he has earned his doctor of
philosophy degree from University of Oregon in history and will be Dr. Holmes
soon) recent wrong a memo for members of his tank team and among other things
said that “I have learned about new men on our team and losses to other
district teams and am convinced that we can have a championship club this year
… The peak of our pre-Christmas period will be the invitational on Dec. 3 … You
will notice that there are women’s events listed, too. The women’s team from
the college will be practicing at least two days each week with us. Any help
you can give them in improving their strokes and turns, etc., will be
appreciated…”
