Today, there’s a Linfield Portland
campus. In 1925, the college was located only in McMinnville. According to this
1925 story, moving the entire college to Portland was considered.

PORTLAND, Or., July 9 – Linfield college will not be moved from McMinnville to Portland, trustees of the institution decided here by resolution.
The decision was reached after almost a full day’s special meeting of the board.
The
trustees voted to instruct the executive committee to launch a campaign to
raise $500,000 for equipment of the college on a more adequate basis at its
present location.
