The Linfield College A Capella Choir, directed by C. Robert Zimmerman (1941 Washington State College graduate) and the Linfield Alumni Association joined forces to present a long-playing (LP) phonograph record featuring "numbers from the choir's 1960-61 touring program, current repertoire, and traditional songs of the college."
The Choir
"When organized in 1930, the Linfield Choir was the first A Capella college group in the Northwest. It was started by Virginia Ward Elliott who had come West from Illinois and found that the unaccompanied singing movement had not yet reached the coast. That first year there were 18 members including four professors. The first choir tour was to Seattle at Christmas in 1932 and by 1933 the choir had doubled to 36 members. The Linfield A Capella Choir which has never disbanded since its inception 29 years ago currently limits its membership to 40 voices selected each year by audition."
The Linfield A Capella Choir long-playing record includes LINFIELD MEDLEY
"Included in this medley are songs which have been sung off and on through the years on the Linfield campus. They have been written and recently arranged by Linfield students."

1--Linfield Hello.
Enhanced photo shows engraved plaque which is part of "Hello Walk" on campus. It was donated in 1946 by the campus chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national, coed service fraternity.
It calls us back to dear old "Mac" - That cheery hello.
It helps us smile o'er many a mile - That cheery hello.
Hello! Hello! Echoing from hall to hall;
Hello! Hello! It gives us heart with each new start
To enter in, To work and win;
Our Linfield's Hello!
2--We'll Be Loyal (Alma Mater).
We'll be loyal to old Linfield,
With her backing never yield,
Each day will bring some victory,
One more honor for her shield.
The Old Oak gives us courage,
Keeps us steadfast on our way,
For her we'll fight,
With all our might,
Alma Mater, we're loyal to you.
You may search all Linfield's history
For one mark of disloyalty,
Each student upholds her spirit
With her loyal faculty.
Linfield's friendships are the truest,
They'll back you in each test,
For you we'll fight,
With all our might,Alma Mater,
we're loyal to you!
3a--Our Linfield Serenade
When the ev'ning shadows gather and the sun is sinking low,
When the Old Oak is a light with the sun's last card'nal glow,
When the purple shadows deepen along the Old Oak glade,
Then the ukes will hum with the strum, strum, strum,
Of our Linfield serenade.
Golden nights of youth and laughter underneath a college moon,
Songs of love and songs of beauty along the old Cozine are crooned,
Where youth meets life with brav'ry, responsive, unafraid, with shining eyes of conquest,
That's our Linfield serenade.
3b--Go Get 'em, Wildcats
Go, go, go, go, go get 'em Wildcats!
Go, go, go, go, go get 'em Wildcats!
Why wait too late? You may be rueing. Be up and doing.
Go, go, go, go, go, get 'em Wildcats!
Go, go, go, go, go get 'em Wildcats!
Fight on for your Linfield,
Go get 'em Wildcats!
