Scientific survey: Linfield football win over Boise State 'most shocking'


After Boise State’s football loss the other night to Nevada, Wildcatville conducted a scientific survey. The survey’s shocking results: The Broncos’ loss to the Wolf Pack was boffo. But it is not the “most shocking” Boise State football loss ever. See below.



#1 BOISE STATE’S MOST SHOCKING FOOTBALL LOSS EVER
BOISE, Idaho – On the night of Sept. 21, 1968, playing its first game as a four-year college, Boise State’s Broncos underestimated the Linfield Wildcats, a NAIA powerhouse, and lost, 17-7. The game was played at old Bronco Stadium on real (green) grass. Read more about this game here.

#2 BOISE STATE’S MOST SHOCKING FOOTBALL LOSS EVER
RENO, Nev. – Recovering from a 17-point halftime deficit (night of Nov. 26, 2010), Nevada beat No. 3 Boise State 34-31 in OT for the Wolf Pack's biggest win ever. It snapped Boise State's winning streak and ended a possibility the Broncos would play in the BCS title game. Going into the game, Boise State had won 24 straight games. The game was played at Nevada’s Mackay Stadium on green FieldTurf.
