Could ESPN College GameDay come to McMinnville in 2014?

No, Wildcatville doesn’t think so.

But, if it did, which Linfield home game? Here are the possibilities, all afternoon kickoffs:

--Oct 11 George Fox 1:30*
--Oct 18 Whit-worth  (Homecoming) 1:30
--Nov 1 Willamette 1:00
--Nov 15 Pacific (AT&T Hall of Fame Game) 1:00

No question it’d be Homecoming.

Linfield’s oak-lined campus. The Spruce Goose at the aviation museum. McMinnville’s Third Street/Culinary Street of Dreams. Pre-game excitement with the BWC-Linfield Homecoming BBQ. Monument dedication. Alumni, students, friends and fans. Beautiful weather.

Pirates/Whitworth (crimson & black) at Wildcats/Linfield (cardinal & purple) Northwest Conference football.

Wow, imagine Lee Corso putting on the “Mack the 'Cat” mascot head to indicate his pick of the team which win the game.

*Wildcatville designates this football game, between NWC and Yamhill County rivals George Fox and Linfield, as the "Oak Bowl." After the game, Wildcatville will virtually present this Wildcatville-taken photo -- of a hand-turned oak bowl crafted in Carlton by artist Jake Rockwood -- to fans of the game's winner.

Note: For spacing considerations, Wildcatville did not follow AP style in game time listings.
