Linfield's student newspaper: LINFIELD REVIEW to LINEWS (later THE LINEWS) and back to Linfield Review
First it was called “Linfield Review.” Then it became “Linews.” Note that it originally was “Linews.” No “The.” Later editions/academic years it became “The Linews.” But, after being “Linews” and “The Linews,” it went back to being “Linfield Review” again. About changing “Linfield Review” to “Linews,” according a story (apparently based on a Linfield College News Bureau release) in the April 27, 1968, Oregon Statesman, Salem’s morning newspaper, the name changed was approved by a vote of Linfield College students.
