Playing at Del Smith Stadium on the Linfield campus, the winning Wildcats had a first game 3-0 lead over the Pioneers before adding seven runs in the bottom of the third. Linfield won the second game of the doubleheader, 8-0. It, too, was "mercy-ruled."
