Denison U of Ohio is playing a football game in McMinnville, Oregon, versus Linfield U.
Linfield athletic icon Henry Lever (“Lee-vur”) was born
in Loveland, Ohio, near Cincinnati, on Oct. 4, 1883.
He died in Madras, Oregon, on July 1, 1980, at age 97.

In Ohio, Loveland is about a two hour drive from Granville,
home of Denison University.
The Sept. 7, 2024, Denison at Linfield football game (1pm Pacific
Daylight Time kickoff) will be played on Maxwell Field at Memorial Stadium on
the Linfield University campus in McMinnville, Oregon.
Lever Street – of course, named for Henry Lever – runs immediately
back of the stadium.
