TWO ADLEYS (BABIES)
AND ONE RUTSCH (PUPPY)
McMinnville, Ore.,
is where Ad Rutschman lives and had halls of fame careers as football and
baseball coach at Linfield College before retiring.
When the Oregon
State University baseball team has games at home in western Oregon's Corvallis, about 46 miles
from McMinnville, he’s there to watch his grandson, Adley Rutschman, a standout
catcher for the OSU Beavers.
In 2018, in
Pendleton, more than 255 miles from McMinnville, Ad Rutschman attended his
first ever concert prior to start of the world famous Pendleton Round-Up rodeo in eastern Oregon.
At the concert
about 30 people talked to him, saying there were fans of his baseball playing
grandson, Adley Rutschman. Of those, three had interesting news:
--“One’s new-born
granddaughter is named Adley.”
--“Another said her son and wife have Adley, a baby boy.”
--“The third said a
new puppy dog is called “Rutsch.”
